Shan Shen Bu / Shanshenbu

Shan Shen Bu (闪身步) refers to a dance-tutorial segment in which Professor Zhao Tiechun of the Beijing Dance Academy calls out flash-dance steps while demonstrating each move. TikTok creator @imjoeyreed memed the footage September 25, 2026 (464,000+ views); @_su05's October 4 skit reframed the steps as dodging someone (1.3M+ views), and @china_trending8 office-humor variants passed hundreds of thousands of views within days. A YouTube reupload by 芒key on October 2 crossed one million views.

Know Your Meme submission October 15, 2026 documents the trend as participatory comedy: performers lip-sync the instructor's counts while using the choreography to escape awkward conversations or bosses. The meme spread globally through duet chains and "teach me shanshenbu" requests.

shanshenbudance.com can publish step-by-step GIF breakdowns with Mandarin callouts transliterated for English-speaking learners, plus etiquette for respectful use of traditional dance clips in comedy.

dodgeshanshen.com fits a skit prompt generator: pick a scenario (roommate drama, meeting overload) and get a three-beat dodge choreography mapped to the instructor's counts.

flashdancestep.com works as a weekly TikTok digest highlighting the strongest shanshenbu dodges with creator credits and vertical export presets for CapCut editors chasing the October 2026 wave.
